Josie Hickerson medaled in two events and Lawrence High’s gymnastics team took fourth at the Sunflower League meet Saturday at Olathe South.

Hickerson, a junior who led the Lions in each event, was fifth in the floor exercise (9.025) and sixth on the uneven bars (8.45). She added a 8.7 on the vault and 8.85 on the balance beam.

Free State’s gymnastics team took eighth behind freshman Talia Gay, who scored a 9.25 on the beam and 9.1 on the bars. Gay recorded an 8.95 on the vault and 8.75 in the floor, leading the Firebirds in each event.
