After trailing by 24 points at halftime, Veritas Christian’s football team couldn’t climb all of the way back in a 36-34 road loss Friday.

“I’m so proud of these kids and how they never quit fighting,” Veritas coach Rick Evans said. “They leave it all out on the field each and every game.”

The Eagles (4-2) will play host to Cair Paravel next week.
