Kansas cross country standout Sharon Lokedi placed 44th at the NCAA Championships on Saturday at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville.

Lokedi, a two-time All-American, took fifth last year and 10th in 2015.

“The other runners just out performed her today,” KU coach Stanley Redwine said. “We will look at the video and determine how to prepare her both mentally and physically better for the upcoming indoor and outdoor seasons.”
