According to National Public Radio, Morning Edition, on Nov. 6, 2017:

President Donald Trump, referring to the mass shooting occurring the day before in Sutherland Springs, Texas: “It’s too soon to talk about gun control.”

According to The Associated Press, published Nov. 5, 2017 — a list of some of the deadliest mass shootings occurring in the United States since 2012: 1. Nov. 5, 2017: First Baptist Church, Sutherland Springs, Texas — 26 killed.

  1. Oct. 1, 2017: Outdoor music festival, Las Vegas — 58 killed.
  2. June 12, 2016: Nightclub, Orlando, Fla. — 49 killed.
  3. Feb. 25, 2016: Lawnmower factory, Hesston, Kan. — three killed.
  4. Feb. 20, 2016: Kalamazoo, Mich. — six killed.
  5. Dec. 2, 2015: A social services center, San Bernardino, Calif. — 14 killed.
  6. Oct. 1, 2015: Umpqua Community College, Roseburg, Ore. — 10 killed.
  7. June 17, 2015: Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Charleston, S.C. — nine killed.
  8. May 23, 2014: University of California, Santa Barbara — six killed.
  9. Sept. 16, 2013: Washington Navy Yard — 12 killed.
  10. July 26, 2013: Apartment building, Hialeah, Fla. — six killed.
  11. Dec. 14, 2012: Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown, Conn. — 26 killed.
  12. Sept. 27, 2012: Workplace, Minneapolis, Minn. — six killed.
  13. Aug. 5, 2012: Sikh Temple, Oak Creek, Wis. — six killed.
  14. July 20, 2012: Movie theater, Aurora, Colo. — 12 killed.
  15. April 2, 2012: Oikos University, Oakland, Calif. — seven killed.

AND Oct. 1, 2017: Massachusetts St., Lawrence, Kan. — three killed.

PLEASE elect officials who are determined to counter gun violence.
