According to National Public Radio, Morning Edition, on Nov. 6, 2017:
President Donald Trump, referring to the mass shooting occurring the day before in Sutherland Springs, Texas: “It’s too soon to talk about gun control.”
According to The Associated Press, published Nov. 5, 2017 — a list of some of the deadliest mass shootings occurring in the United States since 2012: 1. Nov. 5, 2017: First Baptist Church, Sutherland Springs, Texas — 26 killed.
- Oct. 1, 2017: Outdoor music festival, Las Vegas — 58 killed.
- June 12, 2016: Nightclub, Orlando, Fla. — 49 killed.
- Feb. 25, 2016: Lawnmower factory, Hesston, Kan. — three killed.
- Feb. 20, 2016: Kalamazoo, Mich. — six killed.
- Dec. 2, 2015: A social services center, San Bernardino, Calif. — 14 killed.
- Oct. 1, 2015: Umpqua Community College, Roseburg, Ore. — 10 killed.
- June 17, 2015: Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Charleston, S.C. — nine killed.
