Letter to the editor: A signature park
To the editor:
The past City Commission got it half right about Venture Park. The park part! Lawrence doesn’t have a signature park. This site would make a great signature park. The site is large enough; it is hilly and has nice views. The terrain would make a lovely park. This signature park could include rides for children, a petting zoo, bocci ball courts, miniature golf and disc golf, a skate park (both skateboard and roller skating) and a host of other park amenities.
