Lawrence High’s baseball team fell into a two-run deficit in the first inning Wednesday, and couldn’t recover in a 5-4 road loss against Blue Valley North.

The Lions were limited to four hits, but nearly climbed back with a run in the top of the seventh inning when Payton Cummins scored on an error.

Lawrence (7-12) will face Free State at 7 p.m. today at Hoglund Ballpark.
