A two-run single from Jackson Rau in the sixth inning lifted Veritas Christian’s baseball team to an eventual 6-4 road win at Maur Hill on Tuesday.

The Eagles (7-5) scored at least one run in their final four innings at the plate. Levi Hawkins added an insurance run in the seventh inning with a RBI single to score Rondre Diedrich.

Veritas pitcher Zach Hill pitched scoreless frames in the sixth and seventh innings to preserve the victory. Hill struck out four.
