Free State High’s softball team was shut out in an 8-0 road loss against Olathe East on Tuesday at Olathe District Activity Complex.

The Firebirds (7-9) were limited to two hits — and only five base runners — against O-East pitcher Hayley McGhee.

Free State will face Shawnee Mission East and Shawnee Mission West in a split doubleheader Thursday at FSHS.
