Larson powers Baker past Mobile in first round of NAIA women’s tournament

With Baker trailing, 45-41, to begin the fourth quarter, Larson hit three consecutive 3-pointers in the first two and a half minutes of the period to help the Wildcats seize control. Larson was limited to four points in the first half after picking up three fouls.

Baker senior forward Mackenzie Cook had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Starla Daggan scored a game-high 31 points for Mobile.

The second-seeded Wildcats (30-4) pushed their winning streak to 17 games, and will play Campbellsville (Ky.) (27-6) in the second round at 1:30 p.m. CST Friday.
