Kansas baseball splits twinbill

Taylor Turski and Blake Weiman combined to pitch eight shutout innings, and Kansas baseball team defeated Houston Baptist, 2-1, in the first game of a doubleheader Friday at Hoglund Ballpark.

Houston Baptist won the second game, 4-2.

Turski allowed two hits in five innings, and Weiman tossed three perfect innings. A double by Matt McLaughlin and a sacrifice fly by John Remick in the first, and a double by Jaxx Groshans and a sacrifice fly by Luke Bakula in the sixth accounted for the KU scoring.
