LHS girls 4th at state bowling

With the best round of Baker-formatted games, Lawrence High’s girls bowling team took fourth place at the Class 6A state tournament Friday at Northrock Lanes in Wichita.

Holly Evans led the LHS girls in 16th place with a 560 three-game series. Morgan Daniels followed in 26th, while Carli Stellwagon, Renea McNemee and Hannah Reed all bowled above 500 series.

Free State’s boys bowling team was seventh, led by senior Alex Jimenez (655 series) in fifth place individually. It matched Jimenez’s best finish at state (2015).

Bayn Schrader followed Jimenez with a 547 series in 30th place.
