Former Free State High outfielder Joel Spain received an NJCAA ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award for his standout defense at Cowley County Community College.

Spain, who didn’t commit an error during his entire sophomore season, was one of nine players to be recognized with an NJCAA Div. I Gold Glove. In the outfield, he made 87 putouts and finished with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Spain will continue his baseball career at Washburn University.
