Jimenez leads FSHS bowling

Free State senior Alex Jimenez bowled the highest score on the evening, leading the boys’ varsity bowling team to a first-place finish at the St. James Invitational. Meanwhile, the FSHS girls’ varsity team finished second, behind St. James, at Park Lanes on Tuesday.

Jimenez rolled a 669 three-game series, including a game in which he recorded a 241. He was one of three Firebirds to finish in the top-five, as Bayn Schrader and Alex Craig, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

On the girls’ side, two Free State bowlers placed in the top five. Sapphie Knight finished second with a series score of 504, while freshman Nicole Miele ended up in fifth after posting a 471 mark.
