Chloe Holland and Holly Scott scored 15 points each, but Veritas Christian’s girls basketball team fell, 41-40, to Derby Invasion in the KCAA state tournament’s third-place game at Haskell Indian Nations University.

Scott and Tori Huslig (5 points) were named to the KCAA all-state tournament team.

The Eagles finished the year with a 15-9 record.
