Seabury basketball teams receive home games in sub-state

Bishop Seabury’s boys and girls basketball teams will be rewarded with one more home game this season during sub-state.

Looking for its second straight Class 2A state tournament appearance, Seabury’s boys basketball team (15-4) was seeded No. 3 in its sub-state bracket and will play host to sixth-seeded Maranatha Christian Academy (7-10) in the first round at 7 p.m. Monday.

Seabury’s girls basketball team (4-13) was seeded eighth and will face No. 9 McLouth (3-16) in the bracket’s play-in game at 2 p.m. Saturday at Seabury. The winner will travel to top-seeded Jefferson County North (17-2) on Tuesday.
