Three Lawrence High wrestlers took second place at their Class 6A regional Saturday, helping the Lions to ninth place in the team standings at Blue Valley.

LHS senior Tucker Wilson was runner-up at 182 pounds, losing by sudden victory in the title match. Juniors Ja’Melle Dye (138) and Ja’Relle Dye (132) lost in their championship matches.

The Lions had five wrestlers place inside of the top eight of their weight class, qualifying for next week’s state tournament: Wilson, Melle Dye, Relle Dye, Santino Gee and Stanley Holder.
