After leading their school to a cross country state championship in the fall, Free State High senior runners Emily Venters and Kiran Cordes held their collegiate signing ceremony together at the FSHS library Friday.

Venters, a two-time cross country individual state champion, signed with Boise State. In track, Venters ran the ninth-fastest time in state history in the 3,200 meters and 13th-best time in the 1,600 meters. She won a state title in the 3,200 as a freshman.

Cordes signed with Adams State in Colorado. She placed seventh at last season’s cross country state meet.
