FSHS doubles pairings win at Shawnee Heights tourney

Free State High’s girls tennis team collectively posted a 13-3 record at the Shawnee Heights Invitational on Saturday and had two doubles pairings take first place in their respective pools.

Ali Dodd and Keegan Van Pelt combined for first place in pool A in their season-opening tournament, while Kate Piper and Andie Veeder took first in pool B.

Among the rest of the team’s double pairings, Gabby Gorman and Anna Peard were third in pool A, Breanna Brown and Emma Johnson finished third in pool B, and Olivia Sleemer and Taylor Veeder placed second in pool C.
