Free State High completed the Sunflower League Softball Festival with a split against Great Bend and Gardner-Edgerton on Saturday at the Shawnee Mission Softball Complex.

The Firebirds lost 8-2 against Gardner-Edgerton before cruising to a 13-2 victory over Great Bend.

Free State (7-6) will travel to Olathe South for a doubleheader on Tuesday.
