Veritas Christian’s baseball team couldn’t recover from an early deficit in a 6-3 road loss to Midland on Monday.

The Eagles (4-3) scored a pair of runs when Weston Flory hit a two-run double in the top of the sixth inning, driving in Kelvin Elder and Matthew Fred, but it wasn’t enough to erase five errors in the field.
