Free State girls swimming placed first and Lawrence High placed third at the 17-team Olathe invitational on Friday.

The Firebirds won three events, and Claire Campbell won two of them. Lawrence’s Emily Guo won the 200 individual medley and Marian Frick was first in the 100 breaststroke.
