In a rain-shortened game Tuesday, Free State’s girls soccer team lost, 1-0, against Shawnee Mission Northwest at Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.

SMNW junior Megan Nugent scored the game’s only goal in the first half. Regular season high school soccer games are official after playing at least one half.

The Firebirds (1-2) will travel to Olathe Northwest at 7 p.m. Thursday.
