Firebirds power past Topeka, 3-0

? Behind two goals from senior Heitor Nazareth, Free State High’s boys soccer team won, 3-0, at Topeka High on Saturday.

It was the third straight win for the Firebirds, and it improved their record to 5-2 on the year. Nazareth has scored five goals during the winning streak.

Junior Nicholas Howard was the other goal scorer for Free State.

“I think we played well,” FSHS coach Kelly Barah said. “Obviously there’s always some things to fix, but we played well enough to get the result.”

Free State will play host to Leavenworth at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
