LHS cross country runners go 5th, 6th at Emporia

? Lawrence High’s girls cross country team finished fifth and the boys cross country team finished sixth at the Emporia Invitational on Saturday.

Sophomore Anna Dewitt was the girls’ top placer at eighth, but no other runner finished in the top 20. On the boys’ side, senior Garrett Prescott was the top placer at 18th place.

The Lions will compete in the Baldwin Invitational at 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 17.
