Lawrence police are investigating a report of an armed robbery overnight in North Lawrence.

About 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a home in the 700 block of Ash Street in response to a reported armed robbery, according to Sgt. Amy Rhoads, Lawrence police department spokeswoman.

Three suspects reportedly entered the residence with their faces covered and demanded money, she said. She said the victim was struck during the incident and that the injury was nonlife-threatening.

The three suspects left before officers arrived, Rhoads said.

Suspects had not been located Wednesday afternoon but police are “actively working” the investigation, Rhoads said. She did not provide suspect descriptions or information about what kind of weapon or weapons they had.
