A man was shot in the foot Saturday and police say they are investigating the incident. However, additional details were sparse Monday.

Lawrence Police Sgt. Amy Rhoads said a 36-year-old man was shot in the foot around 11:06 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Iowa Street.

According to Lawrence Police Department activity logs, 12 police officers responded to the scene.

Rhoads said the man’s injuries were nonlife-threatening and that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Citing the open investigation, Rhoads said she could not provide additional information.

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests in the Douglas County Jail booking logs were posted with incident numbers matching the reported shooting.
