Letter to the editor: Not affordable
To the editor:
I just felt it was necessary to chime in on our “unaffordable health care act.” My wife and I just received our health care renewal for 2017 from BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas.
Our premium rose from $786 to $1,251. That is only a 59% increase. I do not see how families in Kansas can afford monthly budget hits such as this. And my president told me every family would save $2,500 a year when he was trying to sell us this mess.
So my premiums went up over $5000 this year. WOW!
