Class of 2017 Texas receiver decides to join Jayhawks

Kansas University football recruiting

Mere minutes after news broke about the Jayhawks landing an oral commitment from New Orleans wide receiver Takulve Williams, another wideout from Dallas’ Bishop Dunne High, joined him.

Like Williams, Reggie Roberson, a three-star prospect, announced his commitment to Kansas Tuesday afternoon via Twitter.

Roberson, who stands 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, chose KU over offers from Colorado State, East Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Miami (Ohio) and Tulane, among others.

Wrote Roberson: “…I am ready to grow as a student, person and player and I am officially committing to the University of Kansas! #RockChalk.”

Roberson also included the hashtag #JayCrew17 which has been adopted by KU’s 2017 recruiting class as the unofficial slogan of the newcomers.

Roberson becomes the sixth player to orally commit to KU in the class and the third this week.
