Trailing by a goal in the final minutes of regulation Thursday, Free State High freshman Emma Yackley connected with senior Tori Karlin on a corner kick, and Karlin snuck a shot into the back of the net with six minutes left to help their soccer team earn a 1-1 tie against Olathe South at FSHS.

In overtime, Free State junior goalkeeper Jessica Ellebracht, who had numerous saves in the second half, made a diving stop to her right on a penalty kick from O-South senior Jenna Lattimer.

The Firebirds (4-6-2) will face Olathe East at 6:30 p.m. Monday at FSHS.
