Public meet-and-greet with new city manager scheduled for April 6

Members of the public will have the chance next week to meet new Lawrence City Manager Tom Markus.
Markus, 64, started in the position March 21 after five years of serving as city manager of Iowa City, Iowa. A public reception, which will be a come-and-go event, will be held for him and his wife, Deb, on April 6 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St.
