Carbondale, Ill. ? Kansas University banged out 16 hits on the day en route to a pair of college softball victories to conclude the Coach B Classic on Sunday.

KU beat Eastern Illinois, 7-1, early Sunday, then hammered Southern Illinois, 10-4, later to give coach Megan Smith her 200th career victory.

In the first game, Chaley Brickey, Daniella Chavez and Taylor Dodson each had two hits, and Andie Formby (4-1) allowed just one run off three hits over the full seven innings.

Against the Salukis (8-7), Jessie Roane went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and Monique Wesley (3-0) won.

Kansas (11-8) will host the Jayhawk Invitational, Friday through Sunday at Arrocha Ballpark.
