Letter to the editor: Real solution
To the editor:
As a former teacher and school board member for USD 497, I have watched with profound dismay as our elected state officials have played politics at the expense of the public school students of Kansas. So I was ecstatic to see the recent Saturday Column in which Dolph Simons Jr. called so forcefully for all key parties to step up, put aside their parochial, shortsighted interests and collaborate to craft a real solution to the school funding crisis — one that puts our children first.
To our current leaders, I would simply say, count me in!
