City extends Iowa Street lane closure to 31st Street; part of intersection to close Monday
A water main replacement project that has closed Iowa Street from 25th to 27th streets will be extended several blocks south, the city of Lawrence announced Wednesday.
Beginning Friday, the outside northbound lane of Iowa Street will be closed to 31st Street. That closure is expected to last up to two weeks, the city said.
In addition, several lanes of the 31st and Iowa street intersection will be closed Monday afternoon. All lanes at the intersection should reopen by Tuesday afternoon.
