Omaha, Neb. ? Lawrence’s Courtney Caldwell, a Free State High graduate and sophomore at North Carolina State, placed 42nd overall in the women’s 50-meter freestyle at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials on Saturday at CenturyLink Center.

Caldwell finished in 25.97 and failed to advance to the semifinals of her final event of the Trials.
