Free State boys roll to victory

Behind Matthew Eagle and Alex Jimenez, Free State High’s boys bowling team won the Lansing triangular on Tuesday at Crown Lanes.

Eagle was the top individual bowler with a 747 three-game series, including games of 255 and 253. Jimenez was second overall with a 699 series and Matt Meseke rolled a 609.

The FSHS girls took second place at the tri, 367 pins behind Lansing. Freshman Sydney Jordan was the top bowler for the Firebirds with a 493 series. Senior Jamie Souders rolled a 473.

The Firebirds will compete in the FSHS triangular at 3 p.m. Thursday at Royal Crest Lanes.
