Right attitude: Although the losing is starting to get old and the KU players are growing frustrated, KU coach Brandon Schneider said the outcomes of the games have not had a negative affect on the team’s effort and energy. “The biggest positive I can tell you is, if you walked into our practice, you wouldn’t have any idea if we were 0-7 or 7-0,” Schneider said. “And that’s the biggest compliment I can give our players. We’ve shown absolutely no sign (of quitting).”

Veteran presence: Fourth-year junior guard Timeka O’Neal made her third consecutive start in Wednesday’s loss to KSU and took advantage with a team-high nine points. All of O’Neal’s scoring came in the second half, with three three-pointers. O’Neal shot 3-of-7 from the field, with all of her attempts coming from beyond the arc, and continues to be one of the most accurate three-point shooters in the Big 12, making 40.4 percent of her attempts.

Superhero Day at AFH: Children under 13 who attend the game dressed as their favorite superhero will receive $3 admission and may partake in a superhero parade during halftime. In addition, all fans will receive a superhero mask. Superheroes of all ages can enjoy the fun zone, and the Batmobile will be on site for photos and tours, weather permitting.

Streaking: KU freshman Tyler Johnson played another strong game in KU’s loss to Kansas State on Wednesday night. Schneider said the Leavenworth freshman’s play has been a silver lining during the Jayhawks’ recent scoring struggles. Against K-State, Johnson played a career-high 24 minutes and scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds. She is averaging 23 minutes per game during the last three contests and figures to see increased minutes in the future.

Slumping: KU vs. Oklahoma State. Not only have the Jayhawks lost nine games in a row this season and have yet to win a Big 12 Conference game under Schneider, but they also have lost seven in a row to Oklahoma State, dating back to 2012.
