KU Crime Blotter: Week of Jan. 11 through Jan. 17

The following incidents were reported to the Kansas University Office of Public Safety between Monday, Jan. 11, and Sunday, Jan. 17. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

Jan. 17

• Criminal damage to property was reported Jan. 17 at Templin Hall. Someone poured bleach on the victim’s shirts, sometime between Nov. 20 and Nov. 22. Loss was estimated at $150.

Jan. 16

• Someone stole property left sitting on a bench Jan. 16 at Jayhawker Towers. Loss was estimated at $375.

Jan. 15

• Someone stole a license plate from a vehicle Jan. 14 in Lot 101, in the 1500 block of Engel Road. The plate was thought to have been stolen sometime between Jan. 2 and Jan. 15.

Jan. 14

• Someone broke a vehicle window and stole items from inside Jan. 14 at the KU Endowment Association. Damage was estimated at $1,000 and stolen items at $270.

• Someone entered a vehicle and stole items in the 2300 block of Irving Hill Road. Loss was estimated to be $1.30.

Jan. 12

• Someone assaulted an employee working at GSP Hall about 8:25 a.m. Jan. 12. The person had been harassing the victim by phone for several days, approached the victim at work and physically prevented the victim from leaving. The suspect was arrested.

• A driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 2900 block of Bob Billings Parkway. The suspect was arrested.
