Shawnee ? Free State High swimmers Evan Eskilson, Jordan Portela and Evan Yoder won two events each at the Shawnee Mission Northwest Invitational on Saturday, leading the boys swimming team to second place in the team standings with 486 points, just 44 behind SM East.

All three of those FSHS swimmers helped the Firebirds win in the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Lawrence High’s boys swimming team took third place, behind two runner-up finishes from junior Stephen Johnson in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle.

The Lions will compete in the SM South triangular at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and the Firebirds will swim in the FSHS Invitational at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
