Clothier, Wilson claim victories

? Lawrence High senior wrestler Alan Clothier and junior Tucker Wilson took first place in their respective weight classes, and the Lions placed ninth among 12 teams Saturday in the Maize Invitational. Clothier, the top-ranked wrestler at 182 pounds in Class 6A, won all five of his matches, including four by pinfall. Wilson went 4-1 at 160 pounds and won by a 1-0 decision in the championship.

The Lions will return to the mat for the Newton Tournament at 11 a.m. Friday.
