Topeka ? Six city high schoolers — five from Lawrence High — will compete at the Class 6A state bowling tournament.

Lawrence’s Tristan Decker, Morgan Sisson and Javier Lemmons qualified on the boys side, and Lions Holly Evans and Diamonique Vann, plus Free State’s Gentry Jordan, qualified on the girls side at a regional Friday at West Ridge Lanes.

LHS placed fourth in the boys team race with 2599 pins, trailing Derby (2669), Junction City (2636) and Washburn Rural (2634).

Decker was seventh with a 648 series, Sisson was ninth at 644 and Lemmons rolled a 613.

LHS also placed fourth in the girls team standings with 2337 pins, trailing Wichita East (2425), Washburn Rural (2369) and Junction City (2351). FSHS was eighth with 1996.

Lawrence’s Evans placed fourth with a 627, Vann was ninth at 584, and Free State’s Jordan rolled a 564 to qualify.
