Nine Lawrence High wrestlers qualified for the state tournament by taking top-four finishes in a Class 6A regional meet Saturday at LHS.

Four LHS wrestlers won regional championships.

Carson Jumping Eagle (126 pounds), Ja`Melle Dye (132), Tucker Wilson (160) and Alan Clothier (182) all won regional championships.

The Lions also received a second-place finish from Santino Gee (170), and thirds from Cade Burghart (138) and Ja`Relle Dye (152). Marcus Cassella (120) and Hayden Husman (285) took fourth-place finishes.

Clothier was named regional wrestler of the year.

The Lions placed second to Shawnee Mission East in the eight-team regional.
