2017 PG Collin Sexton to attend KU’s Late Night in the Phog

Collin Sexton, one of the top point guards in the 2017 recruiting class and the No. 12 overall player in the Rivals.com rankings is planning to visit Kansas for Late Night in the Phog the weekend of Oct. 1.

Matt Scott of 247Sports affiliate TheShiver.com reported the info Sunday night.

Alabama, Arizona and Florida, along with others, are also vying for Sexton’s services and many recruiting analysts believe Alabama is the program to beat for the 6-foot-1, 170-pound, five-star point guard from Mableton, Georgia.

The addition of Sexton to the Late Night visitors list merely adds to what already figured to be a big night for the future of Kansas basketball. Prospects from at least three different classes already are scheduled to attend.

Class of 2017 prospects Marcus Garrett, already a KU commitment, and Troy Brown, a 6-foot-6, five-star guard and the No. 10-ranked player in his class, made their plans to visit earlier this month.

And a few high school sophomores — 6-3 shooting guard Zach Harvey of nearby Hayden High in Topeka, 6-7 forward Jeremiah Robinson from Bishop Miege in Kansas City, and 6-9 forward Matthew Hurt, of Rochester, Minnesota — have been on the guest list for a few weeks, as well.

Another point guard, Class of 2018 prospect Brandon Williams, made his intentions to visit for Late Night known last week.
