Stieben’s 3 TDs spark Veritas
Chad Stieben scored three special-teams touchdowns, and Veritas Christian School also took advantage of a fumble-return touchdown to upend Kansas City East, 42-32, in high school football on Friday at the Eagle’s Nest.
Michael Rask rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown for Veritas.
Rask completed just three of 13 passes for 33 yards, but the Eagles bolted to a 28-6 lead in the first quarter and held on.
Stieben returned three kickoffs for 155 yards and two touchdowns, a 70-yarder on the opening kickoff and a 67-yarder.
Stieben returned a punt 59 yards for another touchdown.
Hayden Pine returned a fumble 31 yards for another.
Veritas (3-1) will host St. John’s Military on Friday.
