Overland Park ? Free State High senior Callie Hicks finished as the runner-up in the vault and third in the uneven bars Saturday in the Shawnee Mission North Invitational.

Hicks posted respective scores of 9.30 and 8.825 in the two events to help the Firebirds to a ninth-place finish.

Lawrence High senior Ashley Ammann highlighted the meet for the Lions by taking third in floor exercise with a score 9.050. The Lions finished sixth overall as a team.
