Eudora edges De Soto, 27-24

? Austin Downing scored on a go-ahead one-yard run with five minutes left, and Eudora rallied from 10 points down in the second half to defeat De Soto, 27-24, in high school football on Friday night.

Grant Elston gained 213 yards on 19 carries and scored on runs of one and 76 yards, and Downing ran for 113 yards on 15 carries and scored on runs of one and 65 yards.

The Cardinals (5-3) will play Friday at Baldwin.

Ottawa — Ottawa junior Cooper Diel ran for three second-half touchdowns as the Cyclones overcame a 3-0 halftime deficit to defeat Baldwin.

Ottawa improved to 5-3 overall, 1-1 in district play. Baldwin fell to 2-6 and 0-2.

Holton — Perry-Lecompton ran up 300 yards of total offense, but the Kaws were held scoreless after scoring the game’s first touchdown in the first quarter.

Mitchell Bond threw for 114 yards, but threw three interceptions.

Cole Kellum had 16 rushes for 99 yards and the Kaws’ TD, and Bond had 17 carries for 82 yards.
