Stretch of levee trail closed through end of 2015
A stretch of the levee trail north of the Kansas River will be closed through the end of 2015, the city of Lawrence announced Wednesday.
The trail is closed east of the Kansas River Bridge, from North Fourth Street to the boat ramp entrance near North Eighth Street.
The city suggests Elm Street as an alternate route for pedestrians. The closure is due to construction on the Maple Street Pump Station in North Lawrence.
