KU Crime Blotter: Nov. 16 through Nov. 29

The following incidents were reported to the Kansas University Office of Public Safety between Monday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 29. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

Nov. 24

• Police arrested a man who ran his vehicle off the road and left the scene about 7 a.m. Nov. 24 on Joseph R. Pearson Drive. When officers located him he was intoxicated. He also had violated driving restrictions and had warrants for his arrest.

• Officers executing a search warrant found marijuana and drug paraphernalia about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in Self Hall. A suspect was arrested.

• Someone cut a lock and stole a bicycle from the bike rack at Ellsworth Hall, sometime between Nov. 22 and Nov. 24. Value of bike and accessories was estimated at $449.

Nov. 23

• Someone cut a lock and stole a bicycle sometime between Nov. 21 and Nov. 23 in the 500 block of West 11th Street. Loss was estimated at $500.

Nov. 22

• Officers investigating a vehicle about 2 a.m. Nov. 22 in lot 104, 1700 block of Engel Road, discovered drug paraphernalia. A suspect was arrested.

• During a traffic stop about 11:45 p.m. Nov. 22 in the 1700 block of Ellis Drive, officers found suspects in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The case was cleared by arrest.

Nov. 21

• Police arrested a driver who crossed the center line about 2:45 a.m. Nov. 21 at 11th and Indiana streets. The driver was found to be intoxicated, had no driver’s license on him, and refused a preliminary breath test.

Nov. 19

• A male student who had been stalking a female student grabbed her by the wrist and pushed her at Ellsworth Hall. The intimidating behavior had been occurring since late October. The case was referred to the Douglas County prosecutor’s office.

• Someone broke the south stair door on the fifth floor of Malott Hall off its hinges. Damage was estimated at $1,400.

Nov. 18

• Officers executing a search warrant found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol in possession of a minor about 8:40 p.m. Nov. 18 at Hashinger Hall. A suspect was arrested.

Nov. 17

• Someone was found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia about 5 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 1600 block of Ellis Drive. The suspect was arrested.

Nov. 16

• Someone stole an unattended laptop computer Nov. 13 or Nov. 14 at Bailey Hall. Loss was estimated at $150.

• Someone damaged two battery cables inside a generator sometime between Nov. 5 and Nov. 16 at the Ambler Student Rec Center. Damage was estimated at $100.
