Lenexa man, 21, arrested on suspicion of rape of an unconscious person in rural Douglas County

A 21-year-old Lenexa man is in the Douglas County Jail on Monday on suspicion of rape of an unconscious person, jail booking logs indicate.

Douglas County sheriff’s deputies arrested the man following an alleged “incident” in rural Douglas County reported to have occurred early Sunday, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sgt. Kristen Dymacek.

The man is being held without bond in the Douglas County Jail until he makes his first court appearance.

The man currently has an open case in Johnson County of misdemeanor furnishing alcohol to a minor. He is scheduled to enter a plea in that case on Dec. 23, according to Johnson County court records.
