Fresh off the team’s first World Series title in 30 years, the Kansas City Royals’ general manager will deliver a speech in early December at the Dole Institute of Politics, Kansas University announced Thursday.

Dayton Moore, the Royals’ GM since 2006 and a native Kansan, will share his thoughts on leadership, success and championship culture at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.

The talk, which is part of the Institute’s series on Leadership and Globalization in Sports, will be free and open to the public.

“We’re tremendously excited to be welcoming Dayton Moore to the Dole Institute on the heels of the Royals’ World Series Championship,” Dole Institute Director Bill Lacy said in a news release. “His leadership within the Royals organization has led to incredible success for the franchise. This program will be a great finish to our semester.”
